LLC members and the LLC Operating Agreement
In general, any individual, corporation, partnership, trust, business trust, association, estate, or other LLC can be a member of a LLC. All states allow a LLC to have one or more members.
A LLC can have any type of member/owner, and an unlimited number of members/owners. Generally, there is no limit on the maximum number of members and any “person” can be a member of a LLC. Most statutes define “person” broadly to include natural individuals, corporations, partnerships, limited partnerships, trusts, estates, LLCs, and other associations.
Each member of the LLC should sign a copy of the LLC Operating Agreement for it to be binding. Each member should sign and date their own signature page.
